Who doesn't know this MMORPG? ArenaNet's Guild Wars 2 which was released in 2012 is still alive and kicking 5 years later. With age comes progress and wisdom, which is true for this game. Guild Wars 2 has undergone tons of improvements, especially from offered content which reportedly touches hundreds of hours! With the first expansion in 2015 (Heart of Thorns) and the second expansion (Path of Fire) 2 years later, the total explorable area reaches 40+. As for community, Guild Wars 2 is world-famous for having one of the friendliest communities around.
This game is very unique and different compared to other MMORPGs on the market. If your usual MMORPG uses the same, overused questing systems, in Guild Wars 2 there is no such boring system. Every single quest is gone, replaced by a new system called Dynamic Event, where random events will pop-up around the map you're in which awards tons of exp. The event ranges from a small, solo viable to those needing hundreds of players.
Content offered reaches hundreds of hours, not even including the two expansions. For the playable class, there are currently 9 classes of which 1 is locked by HoT. Each class is divided into unique elite specializations
which changes the way they play. On top of that, every single class has very different playstyles. For examples, initiative system on thieves which functions similarly to MP in RPG games. Personally, mesmer is my favourite, just because it feels very unique and I can't seem to find another class like this in every other MMORPGs.
There are 3 playable game modes : PvE, PvP, and World versus World (WvW). PvE is your usual killing-monsters-while-leveling kind of gameplay, PvP is where you play off against other players in a conquer-like game mode, and WvW is the unique game mode in which your server faces off against others in a bid to control large swathes of territory and of course, loots.
The visual fidelity in Guild Wars 2 is nothing short of amazing. You can take some really amazing and breath-taking screenshots. On top of that, the unique painting-style really gives Guild Wars 2 the edge, even against more realistic-looking games. For a 5 year old game, this is amazing.
Guild Wars 2 can be either played for free or you can buy the expansions to upgrade to a full account. Of course, being a free account has its drawbacks, in this case some limitations :

As for the price, the first expansion is now down to $20, while the second expansion is $30. A steal for the polish and content this game has, in my opinion.
For all the praises I gave to this game, there's still some serious drawbacks. Because of ArenaNet's horizontal progression-only decision, loot you obtain in higher levels only has 2 uses : sell it, or break it down. You will occassionally find gears you really want as loots, but it's mostly only for the skins. Other than that, Guild Wars 2 suffers from some optimization issues which leaves massive WvW fighting a perfomance hog. I'm talking about 10-15 fps perfomance.
All in all, I give Guild Wars 2 a solid 8/10, for the polish and content it has.
